it was a punk show and in the front was a fat ass moshpit. i was getting pushed EVERYWHERE and i was using ryans 14-24. i didnt want to risk my camera and his lens so i went off to the side where it was safe. live to shoot another day

thursday-
we stopped at albertos on our bike ride. there was this crack head hobo dude just chillin starring at all of us smiling. didnt say a work. just slowly creepin up on us all ninja status. when he finally reached us, he randomly started stroking his JOCK. he got a little too excited. gordans picture explains it all....

on friday night me &josh got into noelle's room to put up the gift josh bought for her. it was one of those wall graphics. it seemed easy enough to put up, but it was in a grip of layers and it took a really long time to put up.

for everyone using firefox and not safari
my RAW converter was making my photos into AdobesRBG instead of sRGB
so my photos have been really "flat"
but if you use safari then the photos should still look the same
i just realized this when i looked at my blog through firefox i was like wtf is up with my color. so from now on my photos are back to normal

KAWS exhibit today

joe picked me up and we drove to fullerton to pick up his friend ryan, then to LA for the exhibition.
when we got there the line was around the corner, 2 to 3 blocks loonggg
we got to cut the whole entire line and just walk right in because of LOUDreams. i felt pretttty tight.
the exhibition itself was amazing
it blew me out of the water
LOTS of big people there as well, i felt pretty intimidated by a lot.

Lupe was really nice, he was bowing to everyone lol
Shepard Fairy is one of the greatest, he was suppper nice
Bobby Hundreds was just straight up chilll
Ashlee Simpson was gay, i have no idea why she was there.
KAWS himself was just really quiet and looked like an Alien, but who cares, he is an amazing artist.

Kid Robot &the owner of cassette playa was there plus more than we didnt even know was there until we left.

After the show there were a couple other small art shows along that same street so i just walked in, checked it out and snapped a couple photos, NICE art

Drove to Hollywood for some Roscos Chicken and Waffles
we spend at least 45 minutes trying to find parking
it was my first time having it and ommmgg. it was sooo goooood

Then we headed to a Mansion Party
On the way there was an adventure itself
we used Joe's iphone for directions and it led us to some sketch ass road in the middle of the forest, it wasnt even a road, more like a path.
it was wide enough only for one car and there was a FAT ASS drop next to us. it went on forever and we ALL were freaking the shit out, after about 5-8 minutes of driving on this road it ended at some scary ass SHACK... im not tryna mess with some serial killer so we got the f--- out of there
we finally found the Mansion
the party was VERY interesting
and i had FUN

Horribly sick
4 days of the cold followed by the flu
the day i had the flu i didnt eat ONE thing the whole entire day
today it came back to bite me in the ass
i couldnt stand up because my stomach hurt soo much

This saturday is the opening of KAWS’ newest “The Long Way Home” exhibition at the Honor Fraser Gallery. I'll be going with Joe via LOUDREAMS. He did Kanye's last album and I can't wait to actually be at one of his exhibitions.

Went to the payroll person at ASBP to figure my payroll stuff out. I needed my drivers license and social. i had a copy of my social and the lady told me i couldnt use it... i was soo pissed. she also told me i wouldnt get paid for anything i shot this week because i wouldnt be able to get her my actual social security card until after this weekend. they dont do backpay.. im soooo pissed off.

Got my new wheelset in yesterday
Josh helped me put my bike together

Headed over to Anthony's Cyclery to cut an inch off or two from my bars, fools a dick. He told me he wouldnt touch my bike or sell me anything unless i had breaks. Then lectured me for a good 10 minutes. I just left, the bike shop over by central is legit.

Class and HW all day today

I'm not used to editing photos on cs4 mac, i used some free bee program on my old laptop called paint.net cuz it couldnt handle photoshop. So the look of my pictures might change a bit. i have to learn all this pretty soon.

Reception at Pearl chinese restaurant in rancho bernardo with immediate family and close friends. 10 tables full. We were the first ones to arrive at the restaurant so i took some snaps before everyone else came. Once everyone arrived i stopped taking photos, i figured it would be rude, due to the whole occasion and all.

That taco fresco place whatever the name is sucks ass. Everyone always tells me they go there for lunch so i decided to try it for once. my steak wasnt even cooked all the way...
Had class till 4
Right after class me and kristen headed over to the bookstore so that i could pick up my new macbook
I think she was more excited that i bought it than i was, she wouldnt let me hold it. She looked way to sad when we had to walk the opposite way to our apt

I came across this video because im depressed that i cant ride my bike till monday. There is something about this video that is just... brilliant

The film spins a visual ballad between the two cyclists experiencing the city in their own unique ways. Both cyclists are city dwellers who amidst the chaos of the concrete jungle have created a private and peaceful psychological space as they traverse the streets. They are both alone and yet they are both very much aware of each others presence. The film speaks to the harmony with one's environment that can be found while riding a bicycle in a city and the synchronistic connection we can have with those we have not even met. The short was commissioned by Hutchinson tires. The music was composed specifically for this film by Alan Wilkis the track is called "The Hustle"

This morning i was late for class so i had to ride my bike. I didnt want to ride my bike because it rained and i didnt want my chain to rust or whatever. but i was like so i said whatever. Well on the way to campus there is this FAT hill... for those of you at UCR i live in glenmore so i have to go down the pentland hill. there are cars that cross at the bottom of it so i usually skid to slow down if a car is crossing. this morning though, i forgot that it rained cuz i was too worried of being late to class so as i skid, i didnt slow down cuz of the rain. i was just skidding at full speed, lost control, and ate CRAP. just what i needed after my scars from my car crash.

I have a dilemma
I cant decide between these two color sets for my bike. my frame is black and wanted to get either one of these colors. so far its half and half from what people are telling me.

-the blue are nice, but someone on campus has blue already...
-the maroon are nice, no one has it, but the silver break surface on the front wheel is ugly and i dont need it cuz i dont have breaks...

Went to Joe's Sushi for the first time with a grip of people for dinner. At first i was thinking the name..Joe's sushi didnt sound too appealing, but everyone tells me the place is tite... and now i know why

The second we walk in there is a dj set spinning hip hop and stuff. then the owner comes up to us and gives us free Asahi, no card. i was like wtf this is tight. After we get seated MORE Asahi arrives. 21$ all you can eat. In the middle of dinner the owner comes to our table and makes me and James drink this hard laq. He forces our head back, opens our mouth, and starts to pouuuuurr. Then he brings out a beer bong for the table next to us. good place overall. good service, good music, good food.

Went to the doctors office after to get my hands and neck checked out
Found out my burns on my wrists aren't quite a 2nd degree burn but worse than a second
I just have to wrap them up and put this perscription lotion on it for about a week or so

At Night I went to the barn to see some bands play. headliner was Run Doris Run. pretty good show. The only reason i went was to take pics for my blog. when i was taking pics the security gaurd shined his light in my face. i thought that he was going to tell me i cant shoot photos but he told me to go up on the stage to get better shots. i was soooo surprised. i think he thought i was a professional... HAHA NOPE!

Inbetween a set a guy came up to me and asked to see my photos. He really liked them and offered me a job at the UCR newspaper. 10 dollars a shot. I already take pics of everything... why not just get paid for it? im pretty excited for this new job

CAR WRECK!!!

Got my new bike in one day early. I was pretty excited to put it together and what not. New rims come in next week or so. Still trying to decide whether i should get blue or white. The tires weren't pumped up all the way so i was on my way to Walmart when it happened.

I was driving straight on Blaine right in front of jack in the box, no lights no stop signs. there is a middle divider in between the road where a truck is stopped and is waiting to turn into the jack in the box lot. Honest to god when i first saw him i said to myself... what if this guy turns right in front of me. I had the right of way so i kept on going straight... no reason for me to yield for him what so ever. THEN, when im 5 feet in front of him he decides to turn in front of me. i was going about 45 miles an hour and hit him straight on. i came to a complete stop within a second. my car is totaled. i blacked out for a little bit. the airbag burned my wrists. and i was in shock for a good 4 or 5 hours. but my neck and everything seems ok... for now. EVERYONE has been telling me i wont feel the effects until maybe a week or two later. i never something like this would happen to me.

No pics though cuz i didnt have my camera with me. and thankgod i didnt. otherwise i would had most likely set it on the passenger seat, and it would had been annihilated in the crash.

Brandon and Jinhee came to pick me up. went to jack in the box for dinner and got the jumbo meal.

At night i watched Cash Cab on discovery channel for a good 2 or 3 hours. If you dont watch this show... Go educate yourselves and watch it.

These pics are from thursday when my dad came down to release the car from the towyard to AAA. i brought my camera but they wouldnt let me go to the back because i wasnt the registered owner.... so for now im driving a brand new pt cruiser as a rental car for the next month.

To start things off, i went to bed at 7pm last night so that i would be able to wake up this morning for my 7 am class. i ended waking up at 5am, enough time for me to wake up, get ready, and make breakfast.

class till 1. after me and josh went to elly's house to pick her up. like any other girl she took a bagillion minutes to get ready. we drove back to murrieta today so that i could pick up my jeans from the tailor. we also went to buffalo wild wings for lunch with matt, charmaine, rochelle, sara, april, and crystal. after buffalo wild wings we went to White Lime for some free frozen yogurt, gail hooked it up.

Drove back to school around 7ish, only to go back to class at 9. I have a creative writing discussion from 9-10. at first i thought it was gonna suck ass, but my teacher iss sooooooo cool.

Waking up at 5 makes your day seeem like forrreeever....

Didnt do much today

I watched Top Chef from recommendation of Ms. Wright. You were right Noelle it's a pretty good show. I watched that almost all day.

Later on I helped my Dad make a huge photo book for my grandparents for Christmas. Their house was one of the unfortunate to burn in the San Diego fires earlier this year and they lost all of their pictures and such. For some reason my dad had a huge box with a grip of photos of his family from a while back. So we decided to put it all together in a book for my grandparents. Took forever

After Dinner I watched "2 Days in Paris". Good movie.

Another BLU video that kept my attention for a good 7 and a half minutes. God only knows how long it took to make this video

I was the model for today LOL
We got in a grip of new clothes and for some reason a lot of people wanted to know how certain items fit so my manager said to try on all of the clothes for them. It beats folding clothes all day, not that it's even a big deal. My job is honestly so chill. I just wish I had more hours.

When I got home I was sooo tired. I've been getting no sleep lately because iv been working late followed by working early blah blah blah. It doesnt help when I'm used to 12 hours of sleep. I tried to go to bed but I couldnt. I laid in bed for almost 3 hours and couldnt fall asleep, but if I got up I was still be completely exhausted. Frustrating.

Woke up at 6am to get ready for work, horrible. I hate sleeping on the couch. It is soo cold downstairs with no heat.

Driving to work was a sight to see. Every mountain on the side of the 15 was completely covered in snow. Too bad I didnt have my camera. Oh well. Also a part of the 15 was closed due to the ice on the road. crazy shit.

Work was actually busy today. Kept me on my toes.

Did nothing really after work but surf the internet, found some interesting things.

Rolled through the cleaners to pay a visit to my good friend Tan the tailor, the world's best, to get my cords hemmed. That shit was soo long.

After I went to Best Buy to see if they had a d700 on display for me to play around with.
My camera was in my car so I popped the memory card out. When I got into best buy I couldnt find my memory card, so I assumed I left it in my car. On the way back to my car I noticed something on the ground in the middle of the road, it my was my memory card! Thank god a car hadn't run over it.

After I drove to Wamu to deposit my check. On the way into the parking lot a car was literally an INCH away from hitting me... dumb bitch.

Went to Josh's and Joel's house later on. Interesting night.

Woke up at 7 am for work...it was freezing cold outsite but hot as hell inside the mall.

My sister took my room and my mom wont let me have the guest room, so im on the couch.

It's my sisters birthday today. After her party we went down to San Diego to my grandparents house to have dinner with the family.

Watched the office until 6am last night and woke up at 8 because Gap called asking me to come into work because someone didn't show up.

Went with Brandon and Jinhee to find Christmas presents.
Ate lunch at The Hat, a place you will find the best pastrami sub you will ever have.

I talked to someone who worked at the Apple store for like an hour. At first he started asking about my camera which led to this and that and blah blah blah. Hes pretty cool, i might try and get a job? lol i dont know.

Got back home and Josh decides to make peanut butter cookies... LOL
Random whatever. Then after dinner Noelle got me a Vanessa Hudgens poster. BEST present ever. Thanks Noelle lol. I was looking all over for a Zack Effron poster for her, but couldnt find one. Crazy how she thought of the same gift, great minds think alike.

Brandon woke me up to some real bad news. Good ol' friend Lavelle's car was stolen last night and was found in Moreno Valley stripped of everything. I got up and didn't bother to get dressed. I woke Josh up and so we went to go meet Lavelle and Jinhee at Chikfila, er however you spell it.

Physics lab was soo bad. Some people said "f*** it we are leaving" half way through the class because it was so frustrating. I stayed and tried to finish. I barely did but I bet most of it is wrong.

Came back to find my apt building had the fire alarm go off. Thankgod I wasnt there.

Robert came over and we rode around for a little bit.

Kinda pissed that I'm not going to the OBEY sale tomorrow. I dont want to go alone, everyone either doesnt have any money or cant miss class because of finals.

Woke up early to kind of study for chem midterm, didn't really help because my calculator batteries died. I was sooo mad.

Me and Clare hella rushed to finish our African American Studies Essay. We both didn't read the book so it was just that much harder. We were joking around saying stuff like what if the printer in the lab was broken.... turns out it was. It was 10 minutes to class and I was going crazy that the printer was broken. Saw good ol' friend Ami and she helped me out.

In African American Studies, Dr. Walker canceled our final. Pretty happy about that.

I have to write a 3 page paper on a book I didn't read due tomorrow and study for a midterm that I dont know anything about, which is also tomorrow. Thats where procrastination gets me. I'm the KING of procrastination.

Since I have so much to do tonight I made dinner with the quickness. I made ghetto ass pan fried noodles with no veggies or meat. Took me 10 min. I just wanted to eat I was sooo hungry after work.

While cooking I noticed that someone had made coffee and left extra left over. I thought "perfect I have to stay up late to study so this is just what I need". It didn't look right so i smelled it... jesus christ it smelled sooo bad. Turns out it was soo old it had mold. So I washed that out with super super hott water and lots of soap. I'm not tryna get sick.

Josh and noelle just walked into my room and thought I was writing my essay, but its just my weak ass blog. lol

I tried to start on my essay today but everyone knows I get sidetracked way to easily.

But I did get ONE thing done that was worth while... I finished a whole apple pie

Might head over to Proper in Long Beach this weekend to see if they have those Vans couple posts down.

One of my roomates might read this but I dont care. I live with 3 other guys. One whom is one of my best friends. Me and Josh pretty much do everything, like cleaning the kitchen, taking out the trash, doing dishes, whatever. Mainly cuz we are the only ones using the kitchen. BUT, things like taking out the trash? Me Josh and our third roommate do it, however our 4th, doesnt do SHIT. He doesnt bring trash bags, he doesnt bring paper towels, he doesnt clean up, he doesnt take out the trash, he uses mine and josh's dishes and doesnt wash them... I mean come on.

Got the midnight munchies. Nothing to snack on except mochi. We had a Cheeze-it box, but it was empty...

Me and Josh have played about 200 games of Wii tennis. He hasn't beat me once. But tonight... tonight was the night, he finally beat me ONCE. I was sooo pissed. My goal by the end of the school year is to vow the he can't beat me more than 3 times. Hes getting better because its literally the only thing we do all day.

NOT looking forward to these next two weeks, minus the OBEY sale.

Home sweet home.
Only back at home until Thursday though, I have to work Friday.
Tell me why my sister moved ALL of her shit into my room. When I saw the satin sheets as I walked in I knew she had moved into my room. I slept on the Couch with my dog, no big deal.

Later on my mom took me shopping for a shirt to wear for our christmas picture since she forgot to tell me to bring something nice down from my apt.

I got a nice purple button up whatever, but she also got me another pair of 510's and a 250 dollar Alfani coat. OH MAN its sooo nice. I THINK its my christmas present, but its ok. I love my mom.

Played my drums as much as could cuz I knew we were going to SD all day tomorrow and I have to go back to my apt tomorrow night sooo.. gotta get as much playing time in as I can.

After we went to Stater Brothers to pick up one bottle of marinade for our thanksgiving potluck tonight.

Kanye's new album 808's and Heartbreaks dropped today. About 9 or 10 songs were leaked this past month and I was hoping for new ones that weren't leaked on his CD today. Turns out I was wrong. Big disappointment.

After class Elly and I went to Trader Joes to buy stuff to make pumpkin pie tomorrow night. Neither me nor her has EVER baked before sooooo, I'm interested in how our pie is going to turn out LOL. We could easily buy one for 4 dollars but she insists on making it ourselves.

Took some slow shutter pics before dinner since I had no Lab.

After dinner Josh and I had a competition to see who was the "Better Human Being". The competition consisted of Wii sports games of Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, and Golf. Hes had the Wii for a long time and I barely play so I was at a disadvantage. The first time we played I killed him in 3 out of 4 sports. The 2nd time we played I won 2 out of 4 sports. He can never beat me in Tennis. NO ONE can. I've come to the conclusion that I AM a better human being than him because I beat him at his own game.
